Was just surfing UO when it called out to me.......

Today was the strangest day.
For one,
I had dinner at Dy's.
Then, mom and I paid a visit to the Cold Storage. I got my favourite Pepperridge Farm cookies (Non-soft baked, dark chocolate).
On the car home I tore the wrappers and took a bite. To my astonishment, i discovered it was SOFT BAKED, WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA NUT cookies that I bit into.
Wtf?

Then on the way home we decided to park the car a few blocks away to use the AXS machine.
When we got back into the car, the engine wouldn't start.
:S
Then we had to lug all the groceries home.

Strange day.......

BLOGGER IS BACK TO NORMAL.
What a pleasant surprise.


These days have been comforting. Rather fulfilling. For one, people were showing up with food I've been craving for without having been told. & then I had 4 consecutive meals of ramen prior to dinner tonight! That was amazing. I could live off ramen for the rest of my life.

Today, my piano teacher told me that she detests Singapore with quite a vengeance.
To her, being here means being lonely. Working all day...
& then I was wondering,
if she found love here, would things change? Home is where the heart is, isn't it?
Cliche as it might sound, but I do believe that love changes everything. I do mean everything.

Why is blogger still messed up?

I've been having these insane pre-menstrual syndromes lately. I get hungry, then I get REALLY angry... then I mellow. Stoned. Worked up again. Then some sudden discontent. That, followed by a strange sense of fulfillment.
Can't sleep enough. Can't save enough. Can't want everything enough.
I'm tittering between the two realms of extremities - mad, ravenous desire for everything out of reach/zen-like, mod sense of contentment.

I took a step back and think... maybe I'm missing the big picture.
and for quite some time now.

Strangely enough though,I think, if all my material possessions were taken away from me, this hunger would cease to eat me up from inside out.

Just a thought.....

My darling sister lost a diamond strip on my new favourite earrings that I haven't even worn out once.
I believe elder sisters are put on Earth to torment their younger ones.

(My sister said it was such a puke-inducing colour it wards of hunger pangs. Ugh.)

Hello all.
Blogger is a lil whack today.
I borrowed a book called "Simplify your life" hahaha and I started tidying up the rest of the house today. Making way for good fengshui.
& then,
my sister came home from HK with 2 designer bags in tow (for herself) and a H&M bag for me!
(Not actually due to the new and improved feng shui, I'm just trying to link two mutually exclusive events together.)

It was love at first sight.

Not very photogenic, though...
She got me some shorts too. Haha my sister is awesome! :)

A bit random, but
I blew some bucks on sweets yesterday.

My favourite now... mom stole a pack. >: (

But it's okay.... my life is complete now!

I actually woke up in the morning... and did some constructive stuff!
Went to the gym with Pei andd cooked dinner for myself after that.
Awesome.
On a totally random note,
it's pay day this Saturday. Yayyyy finally! Need $$ to free up my finances!

It's only 9.30pm and I'm totally knackered. This is a miracle. Gotta keep this up!

Hi. What's up.
It's 4.30. In the morning. That's right.
What am I up to?
I'm catching up on Skins. While I can, since dad's out working tonight.
Except,
I have a medical check up tomorrow.

I feel screwed up.

Hi.

Today I had:

• half a bowl of noodles
• one cup bubble tea (yam, milk)
• waffles - fully loaded with peanut butter
• one cup green tea with honey

no, they're not part of the Recommended list in Making the Cut (refer to prev post).
and yes... only that because I woke up late. Like, really. Late.

I have finally come to realise that my life is an endless chase for sugar rushes.

& that Skins is amazing... it's so trippy.

& now I'm suffering from a sugar crash and I need more carbs, stat. Maybe I should get my wisdom teeth extracted and some stitches in my gums so I won't be able to down all that crap.

I should get out into the sun more, but I don't wake up in time... because I'm currently unemployed and rapidly slipping back into my old ways.
(My sister, however, has just stepped foot into The Rat Race. Yay for additional income in the family!)

HOWEVER
I just borrowed Making The Cut by Jillian Michaels... who is none other than the personal trainer in The Biggest Loser. Awesome. I'm gonna get rippppppppppppped.

Tomorrow is the last day of my work!
I clocked 3 hours today. THREE hours! I know, right? The pay is equivalent to 3 Tall Caramel Macchiato. I am paid 3 tall macchiatos to get out of bed and sit in front of the temperature monitoring screen.
HOWEVER,
they overstocked on Milos so I took home 3 six-packs of Milo! My friends took 4 but my arms were threatening to break.

Also,
the third day of work is always awesome. It was Gossip Session today.
Today, I discovered the term "Pink dollars" and that Julian Hee is gay. I know I'm slow... but. JULIAN. HEE. ......! Damn.
Sigh.


Okay I ran out of things to say.

Here's blogging from the chemical engineering lab in NUS.
I got tricked here by my idiotic elder sister.
A Chinese guy in the lab handed me some toilet paper and asked me to wipe the water off the table.
I cannot fathom if:
a.) he believes that i am the lab technician and is hence responsible for cleaning up spills, or
b.) he asked me to clean up the spill in case it trickles down to my sister's laptop, and
c.) the fluid on the table is pure H20 or otherwise.

Safe to say (with a touch of nostalgia) though,
this would probably be the last time I will ever step into a science laboratory.
So long, SPA days!

My sister hung her lab coat on my shoulders (I do have clothes hangers for shoulders... I mean figuratively) and I thought of taking a photo with the said coat on just for kicks,
but then she returned before I had the chance to click.
Aw.

I will be heading down to ikea for hostel stuff (hello $4.90 rugs and table lamps!) the moment she's done here... which is now.

What's up?
Today's my first day of work... three more days to go!
I worked for a grand total of 4 hours today.
Throughout these four hours, I:

• gorged myself on icecream(free);
• wore & changed 4 masks and 3 pairs of gloves (obviously free);
• stared groggily at temperature screening monitors and smiled at passersby; and
  
• chatted for 3/4 of the time there.

And then we were offered mee goreng for lunch (again free)..
LIFE IS GOOD! Hung out with yappy after work and I nearly died of exhaustion.
Insomnia strikes at inappropriate times.


I over-spent on online shopping again!
I am not earning enough to feed my incessant desires.
Hopefully I can live off my employer for a while. HAHA.
